FORSYTHIA (FORSYTHIA) -

DECIDUOUS shrub bearing bright yellow FLOWERS on bare branches during spring which develop into dark green, lance-SHAPEd, serrated edged LEAVES in late spring/early sumMEr. It has pale brown BARK and a stiff and compact nature when pruned.

STYLE : Ideal for formal and informal upright, slanting, cascade and semi-cascade and group styles.

FORSYTHIA (FORSYTHIA) -

REPOT : Every second year in autumn or late winter.

SOIL : Basic soil mix. 40:60 GRIT:organic.

PRUNE : Prune after FLOWERS fade, CUTTING>CUTTING back SHOOTS severely.

PINCH : Pinch new shoots to maintain SHAPE.

WATER : DAI>DAIly throughout growing season but infrequently during winter months.

FEED : BALANCED FEED every two weeks after flowering up to late sumMEr.
